At CES 2025, Code27 was shown - a flask in which a digital Tamagotchi character "lives"
Sybran brought the Code27 device to CES 2025 - an unusual gadget-flask in which a digital character lives. It can communicate with the user, answer questions, and respond to emotions. It is a kind of Tamagotchi based on large language models.
The device is a cylinder with a display resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The graphics are processed by the ARM Mali-G610 MC4. It also has a 4 GB RAM module and a 32 GB ROM.
Users can display interactive 3D characters from the official developers' collection on the screen or import their own from SketchFab, MikuMikuDance, or VRoid Studio. You can also customize the personality and character of the character. A large language model is responsible for processing dialogues. You can use pre-prepared models, connect any open ones, or train your own.
The company offers to use a virtual character as a companion who will always support the conversation, answer difficult questions, and help with daily tasks. The developers note that the device has implemented memory of the owner and recent dialogues, which allows personalizing the communication experience. At the same time, end-to-end encryption is declared to protect personal data.
The device is not yet available for sale. In the near future, the project authors plan to launch a campaign on the Kickstarter platform. There you can pre-order the gadget for $500.
